This website and the text line at (716) 453-2253 are operated by Matthew Peine, Attorney at Law, doing business as Peine Law, in Grand Island, New York (“Peine Law,” “we,” “us”). By using this website or texting that number, you agree to these terms.

Website information

The information on this website is general information for residents of New York State and is not legal advice. Viewing this website, submitting an intake form, sending an email or text, or contacting this office does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is formed only after a written agreement has been signed and any required fee has been paid. See the Legal Notice.

SMS Terms

• What it is. The Peine Law text line, (716) 453-2253, operated by Matthew Peine (Peine Law). It is for prospective and current clients who want to reach this office by text.
• How you join. By texting (716) 453-2253 with any message, for example FORMS. We text only people who have texted us first.
• What you will receive. One automatic reply with a link to our intake form. After that, personal replies about your inquiry, scheduling a consultation, or your legal matter. We never send marketing texts.
• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• To stop, reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT). You will get one text confirming it, and no more texts after that. Reply START to resume.
• For help, reply HELP, or email matt@peinelaw.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Texting is never required to work with us. You can use the intake form or email instead.
• Texting this number does not make you a client. Please don’t send Social Security numbers, account numbers or other sensitive details by text.

The automatic messages, word for word

• When you first text us: “Peine Law: Thanks for texting. Start with our intake form at https://peinelaw.com/intake/ and Matt will follow up. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
• When you text HELP: “Peine Law (Matthew Peine, Attorney at Law, Grand Island, NY). For help, email matt@peinelaw.com or call (716) 453-2253. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
• When you text STOP: “Peine Law: You’re unsubscribed and won’t get more texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.”

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
